After a record turnover of € 20 million, the Grieskirchen-based company of Klaus Pöttinger has cause for celebration.
Pöttinger Entsorgungstechnik was awarded the export prize in bronze in the trade category by a top-class jury. The WKÖ (Austrian Chamber of Commerce) honors the export performance and the effort of local companies with the export price. Above all, Pöttinger impressed with its innovative waste disposal technologies and its consistently strong export performance in recent years. This also had a noticeable impact on sales: for the first time in its history, Pöttinger Entsorgungstechnik concluded the 2018/19 financial year with a turnover of more than € 20 million, which means a growth of almost 15%.
Future-oriented technologies guarantee success
In addition to the high degree of innovation, the international customers value the sustainable and cost-effective solutions from Pöttinger Entsorgungstechnik.
This includes the "falconic" control module developed by Pöttinger, including the latest web application. "falconic" provides a perfect overview of the logistics, scheduling and maintenance of press containers and can be retrofitted. The unique feature of the "falconic" system is the independent communication of the garbage press with dispatchers, customers and service employees via email or SMS. When the messages are sent can be individually adjusted online. The machine reports the current filling level and necessary emptying, any errors and upcoming maintenance.
But that's not all: in combination with the MULTIPRESS ECO, a modern waste management system is created that enables billing of the disposal costs for residual waste according to the polluter-pays principle. The press container is operated by means of a transponder card, the waste is weighed and the amount actually disposed of is invoiced - if required even paid by credit card. This way Pöttinger offers complete solutions for municipalities and cities.
For Pöttinger's customers, the use of these technologies results in lower logistics costs, fewer disruptions, longer container lives and a reduction in CO².
Pöttinger is also well-prepared to expand its export business in the coming financial year. The successes of recent years confirm that Pöttinger waste disposal solutions are in demand all over the world. "Waste disposal and the associated modern waste management policy are among the most important tasks for municipalities to achieve a sustainable and responsible use of raw materials," says managing director Klaus Pöttinger.
About the export price
The Austrian export prize honors those companies that are indispensable for the growth, prosperity and employment in Austria through their international commitment. For the 25th time, the export price has been used to recognize the above-average commitment and success of Austrian entrepreneurs abroad. The nominated companies are judged by an independent expert jury.
