Pöttinger Entsorgungstechnik sets the course for a successful future: on April 1st Maximilian Pöttinger took over the management of Pöttinger Entsorgungstechnik from his father DI Klaus Pöttinger as managing director and shareholder.
"With the transition to the next and thus 5th generation, we are continuing our family tradition as an innovative mechanical engineering company in Grieskirchen and I am happy and confident to hand over our company into good hands", Klaus Pöttinger is convinced.
After completing his mechanical engineering studies at the Vienna University of Technology with a Master's degree and five years as a project manager at the plastic packaging specialist ALPLA with several years in the USA, Maximilian Pöttinger joined the group of companies as Business Controller in August 2020. Shortly afterwards, he took over functions at the Pöttinger Stroje production site in Banovce (Slovakia), where he made a significant contribution to successful development and increased productivity. In his new role as Managing Director of both Pöttinger Waste Disposal Technology sites, Maximilian Pöttinger will continue the strategic course of the family business.
Innovative strength and know-how
"We develop and produce future-oriented products with smart technology that help to make the waste management industry more efficient and conserve resources. We are thus making a contribution to Austria's sustainability strategy in the areas of recycling and biogas," emphasises Managing Director Maximilian Pöttinger proudly. "We are investing in a new location because only with research and development the goals of sustainability can be achieved. I am taking over a fantastic team from my father. As we want to continue on our growth path, we are also always on the lookout for committed team members."
In its 20 years as an independent company, Pöttinger Entsorgungstechnik has built a global reputation as a premium manufacturer and technological pioneer. The falconic IoT solution, for example, occupies the top position in digitalisation. The 34-year-old's declared goal is to build on this reputation, because everyone needs waste disposal.
The product portfolio includes press containers, screw compactors and balers for shredding and compacting waste and recyclable materials, as well as fermentation plants and processing plants for biogas production. The company employs around 230 people and achieved a turnover of 25 million euros in 28 countries in the financial year 2021/2022.
